Your Moby Dick Stingray City Tour representative (see our staff) will meet you at the terminal. You will then be transported by bus to be greeted by your crew and introduced to Moby Dick.

You will then take a 25 minute relaxing boat ride to the Stingray City Sandbar, which is home to around 50 large southern stingrays. Moby Dick is equipped with a comfortable marine toilet or changing room.  Your crew briefs you on stingray etiquette and introduces you to your new friends. Stingray City is a phenomenon like no other in the world. Safely swim with the beautiful stingrays who are pleased to see you as you've brought them their lunch. In shallow clear blue water learn to pet and feed your new marine friends. You will learn to have no fear, as both our crew members go in the water and we show you how to tickle their silky smooth "wet mushroom" feeling belly's. Don't forget to give them a kiss for "seven years of good luck".  Take a photograph to capture this unforgettable moment and to show your friends how brave you looked. Did I mention they are like big "puppy dogs"?

Time spent with the stingrays until people are stingrayed out is about 45mins by then they have kissed, held and photographed the family, with our friends.

We then go to the nearby shallow barrier reef to snorkel and see the other colorful marine inhabitants. Your crew are trained to guide and help you whether you're a new or experienced snorkeler.

Enjoy a refreshing shower when you board the boat.

Exhilarated, we journey back to our dock where you can choose to go back to the terminal or be dropped (from the bus) at the World famous Seven Mile Beach.  Taxis/shuttle buses back from there are frequent and cost only  $4per person and take only 10mins. 

We're always aware of ship schedule changes and are flexible when ships arrive late or early.  Relax on your vacation and let us look out for the time.  We are always aware of  your last tender times, don't worry you won't miss it.  We communicate between boat, bus and dock at all times.

There's no minimum (or maximum) age for this tour both young and old enjoy this just as much.  A great tour for large family groups.  First tour leaves anywhere from 8.00 to 9:30 am depending on the day's ships schdule arrival times.  For ships that arrive later, or if the morning tour is full we often schedule a second tour tour departing anywhere from 10.40 to 11:40 am.  Second tour is quieter on the sandbar, the stingrays are hungry as ever, and another advantage is not rushing to catch an early tender off the ship.  NB. We don't alway's run a second tour especially if only one ship is in port. 

I will advise you of departure time in your confirmation.  In the summer months, some cruise lines are 1 hour ahead of island time, we adjust schedules accordingly.  We have the same cruise ships visit us each week, so we get to know the times and tendering speeds. 

Price is all inclusive, transport, refreshments - fruit punch, water, snorkeling equipment, snorkel vests, inc. child sizes, food for stingrays.

You pay upon arrival, cash or travelers checks only. 

We require a 50% credit card deposit on groups 8 persons or more. 

No further discounts for travel agents, airline personnel, senior citizens, expectant mothers, friends of friends, bar staff for giving us free beer (well sometimes :-).  You pay twice as much on the ship and go with lots of people.  We give you more love, squid (many cruise ship tours don't get to feed), and all the fruit punch (children's favorite) you can drink.

Many people have asked, "what makes your tour different from the cruise ship tour "?  In the fore ground we have our small Moby Dick group interacting with the stingray's.  In the background (picture below) you can "appreciate" the difference if booked through the cruise ship.

William along with "Captain Nicholas" are both in the water helping you to develop your own relationship with these gentle, soft loveable marine creatures, that have now become our family and friends.  Kissing and hugging them is compulsory.  I do NOT ever put videographers/photographers on the boat as I find this disrupts the flow of the tour (smile, click, next).  Everyone else does as it's a good money maker. Our staff are there to help you develop your own relationship and capture your own 'memories'.  Not to make a photographer money.  We sell re-loadable u/w ones on the boat if you forget or run out of film.

How your Stingray City experience is NOT AT ALL like the tragic event that took Steve Irwin's life...

-Our southern stingrays are exposed to as many as a thousand people daily, having been hand fed and held for 35 years. The bull sting ray that Steve encountered was wild and not exposed to humans.

- Our southern stingrays do not feel threatened despite the fact that they are not always handled as instructed, frequently stepped on, and swim amongst the occasional hysterical flailing individual.  The bull sting ray Steve encountered was acting in a natural defensive mode as it did feel threatened, using its barb protectively.    Our company has provided an amazing experience for 45k of people over the last 3 years with absolutely NO serious injuries.
