- Walk in the shallows of the Crystal clear Caribbean Sea and hold a starfish at stunning Starfish Point.
- Explore the dazzling and secluded Smith Cove, one of Grand Cayman’ rare gems, or marvel at the Grand Cayman Blow Holes (Either or both, dependent on weather).
- We also stop at a craft shop, without question the best between here and Cuba! This shop has became so popular that they have banned bus tours! Not us though!
Learn about Grand Cayman’s Past, Present and Future
Whilst informal and fun, this tour is also a fantastic way to learn more about this beautiful island. Mark your guide is a Caymanian who has lived on the island for 23 years, and draws his wealth of knowledge from the National Archives and mentoring from a lead contributor to Michael Craton’s book ‘Founded Upon the Seas: a History of the Cayman Islands and their People’. Mark will share this knowledge of Cayman with you during this wonderful interactive and educational tour.
If you have ever wondered whether there is more to this tropical paradise than Seven mile beach, the answer is a resounding ‘Yes!’ Allow Mark to ‘take you back in time’ to learn about an island born of isolation and hardship, and learn how Caymanians were once shipbuilders, turtlers and sailors. Discover how the island was transformed in the 1960s into a major tourist destination and an international banking centre. And learn how one man is changing the future of Cayman and driving the economic expansion it is now enjoying.
Mark will happily answer all your questions. You will end this tour knowing more about the island than most Caymanians!
A delightful seafront lunch!
Lunch will be served at Tucker restaurant, sitting squarely on the East End shores. Lunch options will be provided via a menu upon your arrival, and includes soda to drink. One course lunch choice including vegetarian option. Bottled water will be on hand throughout your journey.
From there, you can view Cayman ship-wrecks above the waves, sitting on her semi-submerged reefs in the distance. En-route we stop to shop at a hand-made soap and candle, craft shop. This is a short break but a big surprise. It’s so good we have to drag our guests out at the end!
